Solar control films can be installed both externally and internally, with exterior films achieving the highest efficiency. These films prevent sunlight from entering the interior by directly reflecting the rays. In general, the darker the film, the greater the effect it has on reducing temperature and protecting against the sun.

For households, we usually recommend films with the 35 marking. These films are not as dark as the 15-rated films, which are more suitable for skylights or commercial spaces, but they are not as bright as the 50-rated films, which have a less pronounced effect on sun reflection. The 50-rated films can be a great choice if you need to retain more natural light but also want to protect your interior, such as a library, from the damaging effects of the sun.
